Lou Gehrig isn't just one of the greatest Yankees of all time, he is one of Major League Baseball's greatest players of all time. He was baseball's original "Iron Man". He was nicknamed "The Iron Horse" as he held the record for most consecutive games played for more than five decades until Cal Ripken Jr. broke that record in 1995. Gehrig played a total 17 seasons all while wearing New York Yankees Yankees pinstripes. Gehrig was an All-Star seven consecutive times, a Triple Crown winner, and a 2x MVP award winner. He was also a member of six New York Yankees World Series champion teams. In 1939, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame and he was the first MLB player to ever have his uniform number retired by a team.

This lot features a beautiful Lou Gehrig collage that features a beautiful cut signature from the legend himself. Due to age alone, Gehrig signatures are becoming more and more scarce as time goes on. The 14x24 framed collage features two photographs of the legendary first baseman. Placed over the color photograph is a beautiful full name cut signature from Gehrig.
