The Chris Paul Family Foundation Auction
Search By:
During the NBA bubble over this past summer, Chris Paul represented a great number of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (The HBCU) on the court with his feet. To pay his respect to a multitude of the schools that are a part of the HBCU, he wore a different pair of custom Jordan Brand shoes representing a different university. This lot features the custom pair of Jordan Brand Winston Salem State University Rams shoes that were worn by Chris on August 18th, 2020.

In a 108-123 loss against Paul's former team the Rockets, Paul had a near triple double in 37 minutes of play with a scoring line of 20/9/10. These size 12.5 Jordans not only represent WSSU, but feature a special hand-written message by Chris honoring the late Breonna Taylor that reads: "CAN'T GIVE UP NOW... #BREANNATAYLOR". The red and white shoes feature the abbreviation "BLM" in white on the left shoes' red tongue in support of Black Lives Matter, while the left shoes' tongue portrays a raised right fist. Both the right and left shoe feature the same hand-written inscription from Paul, whereas the right shoe also includes Paul's signature in black marker.

In addition to these one-of-a-kind shoes this lot also features a game-used Oklahoma City Thunder jersey worn by Chris during the 2019-20 season. This white "ASSOCIATION" jersey is a size 48+4. It features "OKLAHOMA CITY" sewn across the chest and Paul's #3 on the front and back, all in teal-on-white-on-orange twill. “PAUL” is stitched across the back shoulders in solid white tackle twill letters, beneath a stitched on NBA logo. Orange, gold and navy blue ribbing caps adorns the neck and sleeve openings. The front of the jersey features a white NIKE swoosh stitched on the right shoulder. The Thunder's "LOVE" sponsors patch is stitched on to the left shoulder.
