The greater the legend, the lengthier the list of endless nicknames that they go by. The Sultan of Swat, The Great Bambino, Big Bam, or simply just "The Babe", it doesn't matter which nickname you use to refer to him by, simply put Babe Ruth is considered the greatest baseball player of all time. As it was said in the movie "The Sandlot", generations of baseball fans consider him to be less than a god but more than a man.

This lot features a 1939 Centennial First Day signed postcard from Babe Ruth that the Sultan of Swat sent to an individual in St. Louis. Ruth signed the postcard on the top left-hand corner. Adding to it's unique history is the postmark stamped from a Cooperstown post office, and features four $0.03 stamps each depicting a group of kids playing baseball. The postmark is stamped from June 12th, 1939. This one of a kind postmark has been given a PSA 8 grade, and comes with a full PSA LOA.
